Badly trained grooming staff

I took my dog into Absolute Pets, St Johns Piazza in Sea Point, Cape Town. She is a border collie who does not like being washed and groomed. This is the second time I used the grooming service at this shop. My dog was absolutely petrified when we entered the shop and I now understand why. I asked them to cut her fur and clip her nails. I left the shop with the agreement to be back with an hour. I arrived back at Absolute Pets a little early and entered the grooming room. My dog was tethered to a bar with a choke lead. The choke was so tight that I could not put my fingers between the collar and the dog's neck. If I had not arrived at that time the dog may very well have choked to death. She was unable to breathe. I was furious and told them to loosen the choke hold and get her off the table immediately. The staff are clearly not properly trained to handle dogs who are skittish about being washed. Their attitude was disgusting and the manager apologised but clearly did not care. If you care about your pet do not use this business to groom your dog. They really should not be allowed to offer this service.
