This is a ****!

They offer sports and apparel at supposedly reasonable pricing and I paid through snapscan. A week later I was advised that their stock was damaged in the recent riots and they will refund me. Well, no refund and I cannot get hold of them - both phone line and e-mails go unanswered. Snapscan also non-responsive in terms of a chargeback.

Subsequent to this I got hold of Snapscan who contacted Payfast (payment gateway) who in turn got hold of Absolute Drip who then authorised the refund and I had to provide banking details so that Payfast could then pay me out. What a performance so something that should have been straight forward i.e. a direct refund into my Snapscan wallet without any intervention required on my part! The bottom line is don't give up

Hi Ashley,

We trust that you are well.

We'd like to clarify a few things on the sequence of events that lead us here.

From the time you first made a purchase on our site, there was email communication - from the order confirmation, the sitewide email we sent regarding some of our stock being damaged in the recent unrest, and the final refund notification.

What most online customers using Payfast as a payment processor (particularly the Snapscan option) don't know is that the Payfast dashboard allows for merchants to make refunds, but those that used Snapscan can't have their payment refunded into their wallet.  That's the issue we were enquiring about on our end that delayed the refund because it's not a refund straight into a credit card. This is why even Payfast requested your banking details to rather initiate an EFT because their platform doesn't currently refund back into a Snapscan wallet.

Calling us a **** is rather unfair. You can attest to the fact that we communicated that you would not receive the kit. Due to the unrest, we could have simply activated the Force Majeure clause in our Terms of Service and called it a day, but we offered you a refund - the refund notification being proof of this. Yes, there was a delay in the refund which we take full accountability for.

Thank you for the review and apologies for this inconvenience that was caused.

Should there be anything else, feel free to email us or contact us on our WhatsApp line.

Kind Regards,
