I went to ABSA Sea Point on Tuesday. I wanted to reduce the overdraft on my account. I was told that they would need to send an email to the manager to get approval. (Which I think is ridiculous, as its my account). I asked them to please send the mail and get back to me as soon as it's done. As the last time I requested a reduction on my overdraft, it took them a month to do. I also informed the consultant of this precious incident. And jokingly said. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Well, it's starting to look like it will happen again.

I decided to phone ABSA Sea Point yesterday to ask if their is any feedback on the reduction of my overdraft. . The phone just rang and rang everytime I called. I then phoned ABSA HELPDESK, to lodge a complaint about the branch. There I was helped in a speedy and friendly manner and received a ref number. The consultant informed me that the complaint was sent to the bank manager of Sea Point, and he will get back to me shortly
It's now Saterday afternoon and the overdraft is still on my account and the manager has still not phoned me.

My advice. Stay away from ABSA Sea Point, and don't get an overdraft. The combo has given me grey hair.
