You sell life covers without proper underwriting!*****!

I’m really disappointed in the way that your Marble Hall Absa branch conducts business.My mother in law went to your branch to make changes to her existing funeral cover and further enquired about the life cover that you guys offer of which she was assisted by one of your consultant and ended up accepting the insurance policy .Her being someone who stays in the neighbouring villages and have never taken up a life cover before she called me to inform me that she took up a life policy with you , I work in the insurance industry I then asked her how the underwriting was done ? She tells me no questions were asked she was just told this is what the life cover would pay out and this is the premium that’s all .I then tell her to read the documents to me offer the phone to my astonishment your consultant selected no on all the questions that my mother inlaw was suppose to answe for herself . what frustrates me even more is that there’s no recording to this contract because I was done in the branch and not over the recorded line .If something could have happened to her we would have not been able to claims because you would have discovered that she’s on chronic medication of which the answer on the underwriting questions was noted as no.Do you even realise that what was done is against the law ? Where is the compliance in this ? How do you sell a financial product without properly underwriting a client for them to be able to make an informed decision?
