Worst service @ Absa deceased estates

ABSA is the worst company to deal with deceased estates. Do not trust your will with them. Your kids will suffer at their mercy. They will give you a run around and no feedback. You airtime will run out while you wait on the line only for someone to drop the call after 30 - 40 minutes of you holding.

On 27 January 2021 after losing our darling mother, we submitted documents to ***ca and received an automatic response with no reference number.

3 weeks later we have not received any feedback on progress instead when we call *** the only number provided to us it is a nightmare.

On 9 February 2021 I call ***, got through to a lady who identified herself as Thando. When asked for full details, she said she is the only Thando working there. Before Thando answered the call, I was already listening to their annoying machine music for at least 20 minutes. She then ask for ID number and then asked me to wait another 20 minutes. I waited patiently. She got back to me saying the people who are actually supposed to help me were in a long meeting but she will call me back. Confirmed my cell number and dropped the phone. I received no call back. On 10 February, similar experience but this time a Roxanne answered the phone. Similar parten, asked for my mom's ID number asked me to hold onpy for her to drop a call after 35 muns if me holding on.

Notice how Thando and Roxanne don't give out their last names so you can't hold them accountable for their own jobs.

Mind you, this is apart from my sister Vuuyikazi's own horror story of trying to follow up with them. Now, I am not stupid. Wrapping up of deceased estates is a lengthy process that can take months, but the lack of communication, compassion and down right humanity is appalling to say the least.

I have quoted my mother's ID number so you won't have an excuse of not knowing which deceased estate matter I am referencing.

Absa, if you cannot deal with this, we have a lawyer who can. Just handover the reigns.
