worst experience with my insurance
On the 21st September 2015 I registered a claim with my insurance absa iDirect. A Muhammad Abid was delegated to deal with the claim. He never even bothered to contact me. After exerting pressure on them almost 4-weeks later, he comes up. He demanded that I prove that on the inception of the policy my gadgets were working. He also demands that I produce the receipts despite telling him that I don't have them. I suggest to him that since I bought the stuff from individual sellers, they write me new receipts, he says NO! that the sellers write affidavits which are legally binding documents, again NO! that I supply them with the sellers phone numbers, still No! So where does he want me to get the receipts I wonder? Again he keeps reminding me that my policy is still new. So what's the implication? Deducing from the way he talks to me, he believes a black person cannot own expensive gadgets. Their supplier gave the exorbitant quotes yet I got almost half of that if replacing. Verdict: my insurance does not want to meet their obligation yet they get their premiums from me without fail every month. Shame, shame, shame absa iDirect! You are a pathetic insuranc!
