Worst experience until the next

I visited the Nort beach branch on 17/01/2026 to make a withdrawal from my flexi reserve account everything was fine until we got to the cashier and then all of a sudden there was an issue,we were first told to give them back the temporary ID being used after it was scrutinized we were told that we need a letter from the company that gave us insurance and thereafter we need proof of address plus we were told we must first reinstate the insurance all this is very confusing to me as it's not the 1st time I withdrew and none of this was needed, neither did I receive any update on the new criteria to access the flexi reserve account and to top it all off the branch manager stood with her hands in her pocket and said we have to wait for a call on Monday because 'absa life' is closed on weekends but no solid answer was received in fact she got a colleague to translate english to English. It's like every time i go to absa my experience is worse than the last. I wish I had never taken a bond with these people now money belonging to me I must prove I'm worthy of receiving.

Your apology accepted, I'm not here to shoot the messenger im a disgruntled client who is upset with the swiftness of receiving and monitoring payment from clients by your bank but the hurdles when time to release payments. I strongly believe that if a client is valued he/she will be informed of possible hurdles (via post, telephonically or even the employees walking around the bank asking if they can help) based on previous complaints received from clients and use proactive measures to ensure the satisfaction of future and current clients.

Tomorrow I was supposed to enjoy my birthday now I must be concerned about absa having a restrictive hold on money they were never suppose to hold.
