WORST BANK EVER

Never had such a horrible experience

Opened an account online and tried to use my card at a POS to activate is as stated in their letter, didnt go through. Tried transferring my money that i put in there (as I needed the money) and tells me im not Identified or Verified. called on the Tuesday and the gentleman who i didnt get his name tells me that I do NOT need to submit documents ( asked him if he needed anything from my side) and that the process will take 2 days to unblock my card. So yes apparently its blocked and I never used it.

two days go by and i try testing it by transferring money and still the same thing comes up and now i'm annoyed, I go to the complaints department and I am complaining only to receive such a horrific attitude from the guy.

Now I know its not nice to handle a mad customer and I admit i was upset but not unfairly so, but to have someone who WORKS IN THE COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT INTERRUPT YOU AND CUT YOU OFF with his ****ing attitude of "Facts" is incredibly distasteful. Buddy i was informed of your stupid facts TWO DAYS PRIOR you insolent *****.

Never got his name either which is my bad. FICA Department was friendly but again they said they would escalate it and didnt get feedback, called back and they said they need my documents which is fine i totally get it BUT TELL ME TO SEND IT instead of telling me you're escalating it

I just want my account unblocked to transfer my money and then close it.

Absa you are ****ing useless. some of the ladies I dealt with were nice, but overall the service was a nightmare
