Worst bank ever
I bought a vehicle and financed it with Absa in March. Die vehicle was faulty and the deal was cancelled. We requested a settlement letter and paid the settlement. En of April a debit order went off my account. The account was never closed. After literally 10 or more phone calls and mails,the repaid my wrongly deducted debit order and i received confirmation of account closure. Now at en of May,i received a phone call asking me to pay my debit order.

05 Jun 2026, 11:32After this whole mishap from ABSAs side. I settled my account in full, they never updated it on their side and 30days after I settled the account, they wrongly took another debit order.
They refunded me my debit order and in beginning of May the refunded me wrongly again. I paid that money back and just got a phone call from ABSA saying that they will give me to the credit bureau for missing a payment on my account. I NEVER missed a payment! I settled this account end of Mrt already.
