WORST BANK EVER!!!!!
This is by far the worst bank I ever dealt with.
They constantly lie to you, do not provide sufficient documentation, documentation supp**** is late and then amend and cancel policies WITHOUT informing you. They employ absolute *********** people who lie, and can not provide a service.
I closed ALL my accounts with them and moved to a much better financial service provider. Will NEVER do business with them again!!

Thanks so much for coming back to me.
Yes, unfortunately I was very busy, hence my late reply.
I had an bond account with ABSA and linked to this was an insurance policy. Approximately 18 months ago, I transferred this property, which was registered in my personal name, into a business. And in doing that, I had to settle the bond and cancel the contract and close the account.
Although there was still insurance on the property, paid in advance due to annual payments, I left the insurance with Absa. I then received hard copy mail 3 months after the due date referring to this insurance.
I phoned the contact number on the letter, and a lady answered ( can not recall her name). She kept telling me that those letters are normally sent out 2 months in advance, although the date on the letters, in fact two of them - 3 days apart, were dated one week prior to the due date.
When I told her that I received those letters 3 months late, she kept telling me those letters were sent 2 months in advance and I should know the performance of our Post Office system.
This ended in a quarrel as she did not listen to what I was saying, not trying to assist in getting to kick start this insurance policy. Hence, I decided to accept the cancellation and rather move to another financial institution.
Unfortunately I had very bad experience before with staff members from Absa, this was not the first case. After receiving so many cases of very bad service, rude personnel, I decided to post a notice. And I am sorry, but I am not impressed with Absa's performance at all.
I trust you understand my frustration.
Regards
