Widow left with no money!!!!

For the past 15 years my wife and I has signing rights as well as Power Of Attorney on my parents' in laws estate. My father in law passed away, on Friday evening. Their last will appoints me as the executor of the estate. Yesterday, with payment of AVBOB, the bank unilaterally block all the accounts leaving the widow with no money or access to the money in the other accounts. I tried to explain our situation to the bankers but according to them, when a person passed on, all POA's and signing rights fall away. No matter how hard I tried to get help the more they even said that how do they know that I am not trying to do a *****ulent transaction. That was it, I lost my temper. I offered the death certificate and a copy of the will, which they said is not a legal document, to open an estate account so that I can fulfill my duties and the executor. They refused because Master of the Court has not appointed me yet. The offices of the latter is closed. So we can only do this in the new year. My question is: How can you treat you customers of over 60 years like this? I think that this is degusting to say the least. They did not offer any remedy. My advise to anyone out there, before you request a death certificate, drain every cent out of all accounts because they are linked to Home Affairs. We have a couple of millions here but ABSA will get one cent of business. They are ************ and *********.
