Where is my money ABSA

I am furious with ABSA Bank for their total lack of service and disregard for customers. I have one account with ABSA that I only use to accumulate funds for my grandchildren by eft and then transfer the amount out when it has reached a certain level. So the bank card remains at home locked away. In February of this year, I could not get into my online banking account and so went to the bank to update all of my login and password details. To my shock when I drew a statement, I realised that amounts had been taken out of my account since November 2018. R12 000 in all. The ***** was reported and I signed an affidavit and completed forms.

At first, all went well. A lady phoned me and asked what had happened. I spoke to her again after 3 weeks(at my instigation). The next mail I received was that the case had been handed over to forensics. - MR SIYA MZIMKHULU. This person has not bothered to answer one e-mail from me. In fact when I phoned into ***** division they told me that he had closed the case.

My next effort was to contact customer service on 2nd April. A lady did e-mail me and said that the case was being dealt with . When I pointed out that Mr SIYA MZIMKHULU had so far not responded to any of my mails they said that they were constantly in touch with him. That was the 15th April. Since then I have had no further feedback.

That is not the end of the story. My ABSA card was cancelled so whilst on holiday I had a new one issued in Jeffreys Bay. I saw today that a few days later on 15th March a further R600 was taken from my account using the new card.

Who knew that there was a new card. The 'notify me' number has been changed to one I do not own. I cannot transfer the remaining funds in the account. Have no clue why. Yet it seems that ABSA allows anyone else to access the account even whilst they are investigating it.
