"What do you expect me to do?"
Went to ABSA Brooklyn this morning. As I stopped at the end of the line, an elderly lady spoke to the Manager, Toby/ie/Tony Wiese. Except that he was extremely rude, he asked the lady what she expects him to do about the fact that their personnel did not pitch due to the taxi strike. She told them that she and her husband was there on Saturday as well and eventually left because the waited for a very long time, without assistance. I understand that it is very frustrating if personnel does not report for duty, but NOTHING allows you to take your frustration out on the clients. When I entered, the lady and her husband has already been in line for more than an hour! He spoke down to the elderly lady and he was so rude I couldn't take it. He even told her that she is welcome to go to another branch! When he asked her again what she wants him to do, I lost it and told him, he can get his **** behind the counter and assist the clients. He walked back into, what I suppose is the office and the next moment a lady came out to assist the people. After waiting another hour, I started complaining again (believe it or not, the elderly lady and her husband was still in the line!) A "Steven" came out, who was called by one of the ladies to assist the elderly lady's husband, only for the husband to be told that he cannot assist. I asked the lady behind the counter if she did not call this Steven to assist them and she nodded, but for some reason he could not assist. Steven then walked down the line asking who he can assist but he skipped me. My sister told him that he skipped me. He walked up to my telling me he can't issue cards. I responded by asking him if I asked for a card to be issued - which of course I didn't. The "husband" spoke to me and I responded, but as he is deaf I had to raise my voice for him to hear me. Next moment, the lady that came out after I told the manager that he can also assist, went off about being tired of explaining herself and that she can deal with the stress etc. My sister, living in Dubai for about 25 years now, "gapped" at her and told me she can't believe how client treatment changed in the time she was gone. At this stage, this lady gave her a look as if she is trying to **** my sister. Eventually the elderly couple were assisted, after I waited two hours, and they were there when I arrived! I came to Nanikie Molefe, who assisted me. I strongly recommend that the manager T Wiese and his lady-crony that can't deal with stress get some lessons from Nanikie. She was cool and calm and assisted me so quickly. If it was not for Nanikie I would have closed my accounts, and most probably went behind the counters to slap the stress out of stress-lady and the rudeness out of T Wiese. I really think that a proper apology is due to all the clients in ABSA Brooklyn Centrum today and especially to the elderly people who was treated like doggy poo. If you cannot manage your personnel and deal with stress and still be well-behaved to the clients actually paying your salary at the end of the month, you should be fired or at least resign! It is strongly recommended that Nanikie Molefe be considered as the Manager of that branch as Wiese thinks he is way to important to deal with, especially elder clients. Never again... you are rude with absolutely no respect for especially the elderly. @Hellopeter, your rating bar should go into the minuses
