Well Done ABSA. You are losing a client of 11 years

I went to the ABSA bank branch in Fourways to see if I could apply for a payment holiday as has been offered previously during covid 19. The period I'm applying for is only January 2026. I will be on unpaid Maternity Leave. I was told that I dont qualify although I've been an Absa client since 2013 and financed my previous vehicle with them. They refused to take into account the number of years that I've been a loyal client of theirs.

So they would rather I be in 3 month arrears and possible repossess the car than enter into a payment arrangement. So much for looking after your loyal customers. So much for "Africanacity".

I'll be proceeding to transfer all of my accounts to another bank.
