Virgin Money - Absa excessive fees

I went to the Sandton ABSA branch on Saturday last week to cancel my Virgin Money card. Before i went i checked that the account was paid up. The Lady assisted in checking and cofirmed that i can close after i pay an amount of R4.62 (approximate). I was happy to pay the amount. Only to be told that i must EFT the amount to the account. I bank with another bank and that would take 2 days to clear incurring more charges. I insisted on paying the outstanding amount at the branch, only to be told that if i make a payment at the branch i will have to pay R66.42 as apposed to R4.62. This is **************** !!!!
