Violation of POPI

<p>I have an account with ABSA, credit card and a personal loan and for numerous times have requested them to not send any correspondence to the address on record as it is my grand mothers address and I no linger live there and have been advised that they open my letters.</p> <p> </p> <p>Every time I go to ABSA I confirm and make sure they have my correspondence preference as email and not post and the confirm that they will not be sending any letters there.</p> <p> </p> <p>I know my rights as I work in the Financial Institution and what ABSA is doing is definitely a violation of the POPI Act.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will be taking this further to the Ombudsman definitely.</p>
