I've heard many stories about how bad absa is, I didn't realise they're so bad to that extend, they don't even assist with arrangements?? I'm in arrears with one instalment on my vehicle finance, the agent I spoke to on 26/05/21 informed me that if I don't have my car for longer than a year, I must pay it off over 3 months. I agreed and the arrangement is in place. I started receiving messages about how I missed the instalment and I need to contact them. I called them today and heard my arrangement was cancelled (without contacting/informing me). Now I'm forced to pay this instalment before the end of this month including next month's instalment. (Yes there was the message where they gave me the option of paying 50% within 3 days. I ignored it because I can't afford it, that's why I'm in arrears and made my arrangement. This message I received was also shortly after I made arrangements. I took it as the system didn't update yet with my current arrangement in place.) So what happened to service? No one can tell me the exact reason why it was cancelled and why absa cannot assist me with arrangements. Today I spoke to John Maseko, after practically begging him if there isn't any other channels to do this, anyone else I can speak with or even email documents etc. he informed me there's no other way. No explanation why. Absa simply won't assist me with arrangements doesn't matter what my financial situation is. It's ONE instalment I'd like to pay off... Isn't absa one of the banks that loves to advertise about how they want to take care of your family and finances? But they also can't assist with arrangements for an amount less than R3 000. This gives me the idea that absa doesn't care about their services and their clients' financial well being. About what their own clients will say about them to family, friends and colleagues. They don't care about keeping good long term relationships with their clients.
Best regards,
