Very Rude Person - Andrew Styger
On the night of the 12/13th April 2019 during a routine road block on Hendrik Potgieter road I was flagged and pulled over by Metro police as a normal routine. During this time I got out of my vehicle with my family member and was addressed by the officer, we were asked the basic questions and all was fine and were ready to get back into the car to leave the scene when Mr David Wagner (Details below) then ignored all visible indications of the road block and traffic lights at the corner and slammed into the rear of my vehicle almost resulting to serious injuries to myself and members of my family that was in the car. A family member was injured including the traffic officer. Paramedic were dispatched and my car was unable to start after the smash. My car was stationery and was switched off. The car was parked on the side of the road as requested by the officer. I then called my insurer for assistance as I needed to inform them of the incident and assistance to have the car towed as it was unable to drive due to the back smash. The car was towed and sent to IDRECT providers in order for the claim process to begin. It took Absa 2 weeks to come back to me and assign Andrew Styger to the case.
I informed the consultant that I would require a courtesy car and unfortunately this was not done. My policy has this benefit attached but to date still awaiting the allocation (1st complaint) I indicated to the consultant that addition to the smash when the car was towed I had clothing in the boot of the car and the next day I went to fetch it, I established that all was taken out of the car and no one could account for it. It was ****** out of my car. The value of the clothes totalled to about R30 000.00 and wished to claim for this loss (2nd complaint). I have not received any feedback in regards to this claim. The BMW assessor then contacted me with their quote and possible repairs to the vehicle which came in at around R330 000.00 and then took this to Absa who consequently sent out there assessor who came it at around R480000.00. Idirect assessor/claim consultant Andrew has made this claim process very difficult and has been cross questing a family member, in actual fact he is a designated driver on my policy and he was one of the passenger that was with me on the night of the event (incident). Clayton van der Haar is the designated driver. I took out the policy as the insured and owner of the vehicle. I have insurable interest and the event is an insurable event. The policy is active. To date Andrew and been integrating family members that has no bearing to the actual event. Clayton van der Haar was added to my policy as a designated driver, addition premium was added to the policy to have him on, at no point did the consultant request previous cover, yet I find myself being cross questioned by Andrew as a **** and misrepresentation of the policy owner. To date this claim has still not been finalised. I would like this matter to be resolved of feedback provided as I would like to take this complaint to the Short term Umbud. Andrew is inefficient and unhelpful. Has been intentionally dragging this claim and finding all reasons to repudiate this claim. As previously indicated. I have insurable interest, it is the responsibility of my insurer to put me back in the financial position I was in before the event. I am currently not back to where I need to be. IDIRECT has a responsibility to honour the indemnity of the loss. I request the following: 1. Competency of Andre to be validated 2. His experience and all legal documents presented to me to provide me with compliance in his role as he represent IDIRECT 3. Resolution of claim ( car) 4. Courtesy car allocated immediately 5. Compensation for the loss of my clothing
I would like to formally log a complaint direct to Andrew who I must state is a very rude person and unprofessional. His name appears on a number of complaints at Hello Peter as per below. Please take note of the below as this needs to be rectified and I want this complaint to be registered on the register.
