Very irrate unheard customer.
I finally get to speak to someone by the name of Joseph Saayman from Absa Risk Management. Only to discover that i still am 96 thousand rand in arrears and Absa is demanding 50% of the balance owing or they will have a court order taken out and repossess my car selling it off by auction and then deducting whatever the amount it is being sold and then i get the privilege of paying whats still owing of my balance and with no car. Point is how do I owe that much having been put under debt review also i already paid Absa 67 thousand rand already. They cancelled my debt review due to non payment but i had been trying to contact someone about taking a breather on my account and i was willing to make a payment. Infact when i bought my car i was already overindebted yet Absa got away with any allegations of reckless lending when i was in court. When i went under debt review i had been living off paying my debts using my credit cards to pay my other accounts just adding to my debt. I went under debt review in 2011 i was unable to pay my accounts since 2010 and i bought my car in Oct. 2008. I continued paying my account. Absa continued to keep my repayment term as like when i initially bought my car and never adjusted the interest rate nor the repayment term. Last year sometime the account was just closed with a closing balance of 90 odd thousand rand owing and because i stopped paying my car in july last year they are now saying my arrears is too high for them to have me pay the balance owing. Yet my court order states my account is only paid up in 2022. and the reason for them not wanting to get 50% is because my balance outstanding is too high yet this amount is only due because they closed off my account when Absa ended my payment term. I have no money to employ an attorney. How can the banks keep doing this...charging these interest rates and cheating people out of there money. Its the saddest feeling ever to feel this helpless while trying to make ends meet.
