Vehicle and Asset Finance

I have a Renault Megane II 2008, purchased in 2011 under ABSA vehicle and asset finance. I encountered payment trouble around 2013/2014 due to unemployment but brought payments up to date in 2014 still and continued paying.

The car was purchased at R235k and my finance with ABSA was R185k as I traded my old vehicle. My latest balance as per AUDIT statement received in 2016 March was R21087.73. Understanding I was out of my finance term of 54 months, I continued making small payments in 2016 even though I was on 4months of unpaid maternity leave.

ABSA had been paid their capital, the remaining amount was their interest so that I can receive ownership of the vehicle. However since about a week ago, I received an sms from a company called “Internal Investigations” the name itself sounded like a phishing **** so I did not respond. This Internal Investigations company was actually working on behalf of ABSA for tracing my vehicle. They in turn called the Insurance company that I do commission work for and presented themselves to my branch secretary as a “dissatisfied, unhappy, angry, frustrated, client” This woman by the name of Angela had called and spoke to two different people at my office and went to say that she is in an angry client because I’m not returning her calls and they need to do something as my employer because its not fair that I’m not in communication with her as she was constantly trying to get a hold of me and I’m refusing to answer her calls. NOW, This is the scary part:

1.) This was misrepresentation from ANGELA from Internal Investigations

2.) Is ABSA aware that these are the type of businesses they’re dealing with, a business with no integrity, accountability, or treating “ABSA” clients with respect and racial equality

This is what I am liable for when I get a complaint against me at my work as it is Insurance:

1.) Immediate dismissal

2.) Hearing regarding dismissal

3.) A complaint to the Ombudsman and register entry of my name

4.) A Fine

5.) Imprisonment

6.) Compliance protocols in place for me to be refused a bonus or any compensation due to having a complaint laid against

7.) Commission held back until my company runs further investigation on me

8.) An instance whereby I will never be able to work again for a Financial Institution

Angela refused to speak to me with decency and respect, she was arrogant and shouted at me answering on behalf of ABSA that her information is correct and mine IS NOT, stating my balance was almost double that as per my audit statement.

My other MAIN concern which I asked ANGELA, was regarding SARS, she could not answer me. I asked, Will SARS come to my home and lock me up as ABSA supp**** me with an Audit statement that I’ve given to SARS, which you are now saying to me is incorrect” I was still allowing her to find reason by saying maybe systems weren’t updated as I’ve made small payments during 2016 as well, she had no time to hear me or be of any assistance whatsoever, pathetic and absolutely outrageous.

I NEED ABSA TO INTERVENE AND SORT THIS IMMEDIATELY as I do NOT want to open a case against ABSA for damages caused against my income and integrity at my work. My secretary has to legally report the complaint she received even though it was “**********” as that's how regulated I am in the insurance that I do. PLEASE HELP ABSA!!!! My new audit statement is a month away showing my new balance which I know is nothing close to what this Internal Investigations company is saying it is.

I refuse to have my income jeopardised as ABSA is not going to take care of me and my 8month old for the rest of my life and this what ANGELA did when she “misrepresented” herself “**********ly” to my work and I have listed the implications above.

Thanking you in advance

A HIGHLY DISTRESSED MOTHER
