VAF restructuring failing to update account - Bad ratings
I would like to raise a concern to you which is affecting me negatively.
I have made an arranging with ABSA’s National VAF manager to pay a reduce installment and it was approved through the right procedures. However, in the interim I have made provision to get me out of the predicament I am sitting in since as I have financial difficulties. Meaning I am finding ways to cut on costs and reconcile debt to make life easier for myself and my family.
While enquiring about possible ways in doing this credit ratings were done, and declined due to my VAF account being outstanding. This of course I reassured all the intuitions would be rectified as this was probably a mistake. Only to find out that ABSA has updated my account almost two months after the reduced agreement was approved. Consequently, I have a lot of credit enquiries on my record and dropping my score even further.
What is putting me more in distress is that my status will only clear within a month if all goes well, but the enquiries are there for 24 months. As I wanted to take out a bond on my existing property that I have, as one avenue to lighten things for me.
I’m really experiencing bad service from ABSA and would like ABSA to come to the table and assist me in this, as I have kept my end of the deal. However, I have dates and mails of communicating and waiting on feedback. Alternatively, I need to phone or send mails to get my voice heard.
Awaiting on ABSA’s speedy assistance.
