Useless ***** devision

On the 11/1/2023 two transactions to the total of R4764,82 went off my cheque card from Dubai and I was immediately phoned by the ***** department to find out if I'm aware of the transactions. I told them No I didn't authorize them, they advised that they will close my card and then I have to go to a police station to go do an affidavit and take it to the branch.

Same day I went avs and did the affidavit as advised and took it to absa Menlyn Maine where I was assisted by a friendly lady, she emailed everything to the Absa ***** department and cc'd me in, which was all good. Two weeks later I do a follow up and I was told that thers a CAS number missing, which I was never advised off so I have to go back to the police station and open a Case. I did that and sent it to the ***** department with the affidavit etc.

This is now the 2nd of February where I got an email advising that I should expect a call from an investigate, so the wait continues. Since then I've been calling Absa and speaking to different people who are telling me that if the investigator is not busy on the line, they are not at their desk and that they will send them an email to call me back. It's literally over a month now and I have not heard anything from Absa

I then phoned absa AGAIN to enquire about my case and still no feedback instead I'm taken from pillar to post.

Surely in the ***** department of all places, you should have highly trained individuals working there?? I am fed up and I'm planning to move ALL my accounts from Absa after probably 20 years

I am awaiting URGENT feedback on this matter and please know that I will not leave this here. Your hard earned funds are not safe with Absa
