Useless ABSA ***********
I requested a settlement on my study loan which I received and I paid off the amount as per my settlement letter, this was done 20 January 2026. On 20 February 2026 an amount went off my account again for my study loan, I then phoned ABSA regarding this and the confirmed that the account was not closed, they advised me that they will pay the amount back to my account and close the study loan. It is now 4 March 2026 and the study loan is still open and I have not received my money back from ABSA as promised to me.

06 Mar 2026, 10:49I have today again received my study loan statement from ABSA indicating the payment due 20 March 2026. It is really mind boggling that ABSA is not able to close my study load for more than 2 months now. This is really pathetic to say the least and unprofessional. I am going to move my whole banking profile to a other bank that is passional about client service, ABSA does not worry at all..
