UNSUCCESSFUL DEPOSIT
Dear Absa
Last week Friday, 2nd October 2020 I arrived at the Absa ATM in Tokai, Cape Town to deposit a R3000 into my account. As I stood there, there was two consultants from Absa, one who was taking temperatures and one who assisted customers at the ATM.
The one lady Shakeera stood outside watched me busy with my transaction (deposit) then asked me if I was doing a deposit, I said yes, she asked if it is going through, I told her that it shows it is counting my cash, literally 5 seconds thereafter a slip pops out showing that my funds did not go through and that it shows it was an unsuccessful transaction. I then told Shakeera, she advised that I go into the branch, show them the slip and get it sorted.
The teller in the branch then tells me I will wait 3 -5 working days for MY MONEY to reflect in my bank account!!! I had to complete a two page form, explaining what happened and all I have to do is wait !!!! I called the branch later that day, spoke to the receptionist asking to speak to the Manager as Absa showed no urgency to assist me. The Teller then called me to give me my case number and that was it, not one word saying "Mrs Killian we are trying our best to assist" or nothing in saying that they would follow up. I called the branch today, 5th October 2020 5 TIMES and yet not answer.
Please, I really need my funds. I dont think ABSA realizes what this does to someone, what if this was my last funds or I had to pay my landlord or school fees, do you think Landlords or Schools will believe when I say, Oh sorry tried making a deposit but my funds did not reflect ???!!! I feel that Absa is so inconsiderate and not bothered by the fact that people need there funds.
Please, if someone could get back to me with an answer, I will be grateful.
