Unsuccessful ATM Deposit

I was trying to make a cash deposit into my account and I was busy with the transaction it just took long and the slip came and said the transaction is unsuccessful. The money never came back and I phoned that said you must report faulty ATM Machines, I was assisted my a man called Wilford he was so rude and I asked for his surname to make a reference of him when I go to the branch, he refused blatantly and said he des not care if I report him. I just need my back asap
