Unpaid Claim

Im a writing to you with a broken heart and defeated . My aunt took out a policy with Absa for her and her cousin who recently passed away. The claim was declined on the basis that they are not related and therefore theres no insurable interest. My aunt took care of the funeral costs and her cousin used to stay with her . They share grand parents as they are the children of siblings. I am not quite sure where the verdict comes from as they never even requested a family tree to show the roots of the family.
