******** Repossession

On Thursday the 3rd February I received a call from a lady who claimed to be from Absa requesting an appointment to reposess my vehicle. I suggested we meet on Saturday. On Saturday the 5th February I met three gentlemen claiming to be from Absa, accompanied by a young boy and a lady claiming to be a sheriff from Pretoria. We met in Midran police station and they carried a copy of a warrant of delievery demanding for the car. I asked about a Sheriff from another area not mine, they left and asked that we need Minday the 7th February at 5pm. I contacted my areas Sheriff & he knew nothing about the lady. I will be lodging formal complaints with relevant bodies but I had to give ABSA an opportunity to respond to these questions1. Why was the warrant a copy,2. Why was I not afforded an opportunity to make arrangements,3 Where are my summons & where is proof I received them?,4 Why is the information of a warrant not on my credit record? And why was the Sheriff from another area? I'm willing to make arrangements as I have temporary financial problems that will end by end of March. But the process seemed like a sham. My rights as a consumer were duely ignored. I need answers ASAP.
