Unjust Rejection of Flood Damage Claim – Requesting Reconsideration

I am extremely disappointed with how my recent insurance claim was handled. After my property sustained significant damage due to floods earlier this year, I submitted a claim and was visited by an evaluator shortly after. However, I received no formal communication about the outcome. I had to personally visit my bank to follow up, only to learn through a bank assistant and later confirmed via phone that my claim had been rejected. The reasoning provided was "lack of maintenance," which I strongly contest. My home has never shown signs of needing structural repair prior to the flooding. The damage was clearly flood-related: water entered multiple rooms, walls and cupboards were swollen and damp, and tiles discolored—issues that only began after the heavy rains.

I was also told that a rejection letter had been sent to me, but I never received it. Additionally, I was not given a claim number when I app****, raising concerns about how thoroughly my case was managed. I've always paid my premiums and expected the same commitment in return. This experience has left me feeling disregarded and let down. I respectfully request a fair reassessment of my claim.
