I sent an email to ABSA on the 20th already needing assistance. They only responded to me 4 days later advising me that they can't assist me I need to contact the call centre which I immediately did just to find out they are closed. So today I call the call centre just to be told that they don't have the mandate to assist me with the request as I need to go to a branch to see if they can assist me with my request. I urgently required assistance and ABSA just don't give a damn about their clients. I have been a client with h ABSA for Many years. This is pathetic and so disappointing.

27 Dec 2017, 17:40I wanted to get assistance for a payment holiday only for December as I am not employed currently but end of January should be fine again. After 4 days of waiting the email comes back advising me I need to call the call centre. Had to wait another 3 days as it was festive season and they were closed I call the call centre just to be told I need to go to a branch. So today I went to the branch just to be told that you can't do that arrangements can only be done once the payment has not been made. So now I will show in arrears and you will add additional interest on my loan. So much for being a loyal ABSA client for so many years. Just shows you that ABSA does not care about their clients they only care about the money they can make additional out of their clients
