Unfairly treated by ABSA
Hello Peter, I am very mad when writing to you today, ABSA vehicle finance have handled my situation so unprofessional, I sold my car July this year and was financed by ABSA, ABSA official advised me to utilize their website to sell it called fast buy and it was never explained to me any consequences thereof.
After selling my car the same official called me to arrange settlement for the shortfall, we agree on the r5300 per month for 2 years. And a week later their collection department called me to offer me to pay everything and they offered 60% discount and I did not have that cash on me hence I confirmed that we should proceed with r5300 arrangement and I never defaulted on the arrangement.
I was trying to buy a car last week and only to find out that I have been listed at the bureau by ABSA for the entire shortfall value and it written as repossessed vehicle.
I tried to engage ABSA and even complains and they allocated someone who completed every within 8 hours and didn't even understand what's are my complains.
Currently I cannot buy anything on credit because of ABSA, they did not inform me that if I sell my car on fast buy shortfall will be listed of which I wouldn't even have sold the car, I am willing to pay absa on the monthly basis and they are unwilling and only want lamp sum and listed me at the bureau yet I never defaulted on our agreement and I did not sign the terms that they should handle my shortfall this way.
I would like to further make people aware that they should think twice when dealing with absa, their employees do not disclose the information and they are very biased when investigating your challenges
