unfair practices from absa bank

My complain is in hopes that there is someone out there that can mediate between an individual and a big bank like absa in all fairness. i was unemployed for 6 months and i had a cheque account with absa unfortunately bank charges accumulated on the account. I started a new job where they requested for a letter stamped from the bank as proof of bank details. I went to the bank and explained that i needed proof of bank details and that im aware of the charges on my account and that i wish for my salary to be paid into the cheque acc. the consultant explained to me that it can be done and that on the day my salary gets paid i should just come in to remove what seems like a soft lock and that i would be able to transact after that. these notes was captured on the system, irrespective of this arrangement absa decide that they will close the account completely, take what i owed them and my whole salary. i have debts that accumulated else where and i have made arrangements that i would pay via debit order on my capitec account on the 26th of this month today is the 27th. money that rightfully belongs to me, and the terms and conditions is govern by and in favor of the bank. They will only refund if i sent proof that this money belongs to me and that it was paid to me is it fair that i now have to use company time and resources to resolve a problem on the bank side not to mention the inconvenience this whole issue has caused me! till know i did not receive even a phone call or as much as an sms stating that they are aware of the problem. If they decide one day they will refund my salary i have worked for, it will be done under their conditions including the time frame it takes for these transaction to happen, If there is someone out there that can help please help me i have tried absa complains department and that didnt help in anyway.
