Unfair banking practice

<p>I have banked with Absa since 2003 or so. I am a student hence a temporary resident. My account was blocked and I was initially told it was due to Rica. Only to be later told at the bank that it's because my permit expired. I was not given prior notice. My permit renewal is pending. I need to pay for rent, school and feed myself amongst many others. They have refused to temporarily unlock it for me to source funds. </p> <p>This is disheartening. Truly, once feels like an alien. </p> <p>Should my permit come out, I am moving to another bank. Especially as I'm being charged excessively for banking services. </p> <p> </p>
