Unfair account handover to lawyers

I had a payment arrangement made on my account for 27 January 2022. 15 January 2022 I received a notification from the lawyers that my account was handed over to them. I phoned Absa and the lady chased me back to the lawyers. This is not appropriate. I cannot make a payment in December and make an a payment arrangement on 23.12.22 then my account be handed over before I could even pay on the agreed date. Please investigate.
