Uncovered money in the Bank
I live in Baku, Azerbaijan for most of the year. I go to South Africa once a year during our Summer holidays. So, I bought 2 flight tickets from a travel agency in Baku with my Absa credit card. Due to COVID-19, I had to cancel the bookings. After a few weeks, the Agency informed me that they received the money and reversed it on my credit card. The reversal was done on 8 June 2020. I still have not received my money in SA. I lodged a complaint at the Credit Card Division, they referred it to their Dispute Section, then they referred it to their Financial Department. After two weeks I still haven't heard anything from the Finance Dept. I do believe they are operating on a skeleton staff, due to the virus, but I find it disturbing they my money is still missing.

This has now been twice that Absa extended the date to report back to me. Both times Absa failed to keep their promises. Yesterday, 12 August was (before the end of the day) the second date that you promised to update me on the whereabouts of my money that got lost in the bank. I didn't receive any feedback. I take it that you will respond when the finance department has recovered my money. If so, then it simply means Absa has basically lost R38,000.00 without knowing it. What a shame.
Please redeem some of your name and respond. Surely, that is the least you can do at this stage.
