Unauthorized Credit Check

Good day

Last week, I sent an email to ABSA requesting a decrease on my credit card, the 1st response stated that I should go to the branch and I rep**** informing them that I cannot go to the branch. In response to this they responded saying that the interest rate on the credit card is fixed and it is a non-negotiable.

I received a phone call from someone calling from ABSA, they offered an increase on my current limit increase, they did not even get my personal details or even my ID number because I told that person that I'm not interested in a limit increase. A day later I received a notification from the credit bureau that a credit check was done on my my name. I retrieved my report and I saw that it was done by ABSA credit card. On both interactions I had with ABSA (written and telephonic), no one requested to do a credit check on my name, ABSA should have a record of when I granted them permission to do a credit check on my name. It is ******** for a financial services provider to do a check without getting permission from a client. They even created a bogus name as my employer , which is now showing on my credit bureau report.

I want that employer name, as well as that credit check to be deleted from my credit bureau profile.
