Unauthorised debit orders

<p>I have had a savings and a cheque account with ASBA Newcastle Branch for years......after losing my job i terminated the cheque account as i would not afford the monthly charges for an account i was not using. I kept my savings account open until i found another job.......than my nightmare of unauthorised debit orders began.....mind you I did not have any debit orders on this account except a stop order to my daughters ABSA account and an ABSA funeral policy. Every month I am forced to transfer my money to other institutions because my money is not safe with ABSA. Every month I have to line up on those long queues just to reverse these debits only to be met with consultants who couldnt care less about your misery instead they want to put the blame on you saying you probably responded to those bogus messages or perhaps your clothing accounts are to blame which I do not even have because I am aware of such people *****ing money from accounts. What annoys me is that the minute my savings account started recieving a salary that very month these debit orders went off...leaving me to strongly believe its an inside job. Hands off my account ABSA please I am tired of going to the branch for reversals and atrocious attitudes from some of your staff.</p>
