Unauthorised debit order (NAEDO) *****

I had a non-authenticated debit order for a loan debited from my account on 25 November 2016 as well as 9 December 2016 (attached at the end of this post).

I tried to reverse this online, but it does not even show up on my recent transaction list. I have an arrangement with Nedbank to stop deducting the debit orders from October 2016 which will commence in February 2017 again. They cancelled it from their side, but obviously it did not happen. I phoned Nedbank, which confirmed that it went off incorrectly for two months consecutively and that I should reverse the transactions from my side as well.

I have been to an ABSA branch where I was told I am unable to reverse these transactions.

This is not the first time something like this happened and everytime ABSA has the same old story of not being able to reverse the debit order.

This is seen as *****, as it wasn't authorised by me to be debited twice in 14 days and aren't even displayed as a transaction on my statement.

I will be closing my account with ABSA by tomorrow (10 December) if these transactions are not reversed immediately. A stop order should also be placed on these transactions.

I am sick and tired of wasting money by calling ABSA and wasting my time to visit a branch and being told off. So please don't even bother telling me "please visit your nearest branch".

I will take this matter further and spread the word to family and friends as well as all over social media if it is not resolved immediately. A few family members have business accounts with you, so hopefully you won't lose them as customers.

Absa: CHEQ7139, Sch t, 25/11/16 SETTLEMENT/C - NAEDO TRACKED DO, NEDBPL / ********** ********** , R-2,828.73

Absa: CHEQ7139, Sch t, 09/12/16 SETTLEMENT/C - NAEDO TRACKED DO, NEDBPL / ********** ********** , R-2,828.73
