unauthorised debit order charges
There’s an unauthorised debit order on my account,i called and the lady who helped me said i'm going to pay R30 charges for reversal of debit order. on website they said: " Absa customers can reverse their debit orders by either visiting a branch or by simply logging on to Absa Online for a more convenient, self-help solution at no cost since this service is offered free of charge." so why are they charging me R30 if they claim it's free of charge?

28 Feb 2019, 12:10 Dear Customer Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. As far as I know with online reversals there are no charges, however if it is for the first time the debit order goes through you need to go to the branch to register it and also for them to obtain a mandate to ascertain whether the debit order is legit or not. Kind regards
