Unauthorised Debit Order amount which resulted in a returned debit on my bank account

Really getting annoyed with Absa’s handling of my vehicle finance account. In the email they send you, it states the following: For more information, contact: *** or the call centre on ***And then when you email it, they say it is unmonitored and you need to email another email address?? Come on ABSA – get your **** together! I am NOT happy that my ABSA debited an unauthorised insurance amount without my consent, they just increased my monthly debit amount without any notice. Which resulted in my Insurance (which covers my vehicle insurance) Debit order being returned and resulted in my incurring a R150 returned debit order fee!!!! I had a request for info on my insurance policy that covers my vehicle – which I provided on the 26th April, yet my account was still debited with an insurance policy that I never agreed to?? Surely this is *******?? How can they debit a different amount to the monthly amount that was originally agreed to. If the interest rate increases or decreases, you are sent a letter of notification before they change the debit order amount??

I have had nothing but inconsistent debit amounts and bad service with my ABSA Vehicle FINANCE account - it is so bad that I would like to get rid of my vehicle just so that I can change back to Wesbank - who were an absolute pleasure to deal with!!!

Thats great, thanks Vanessa......but how will you investigate it, if you do not have any information on my Vehicle Finance Account or ID number?
