Unauthorised debit order: ABSA a party to this??
Every month I find myself having to deal with close to 7 unauthorised debit orders with amount ranging from R44 to R120. I have complained at ABSA branches and stopped the debit order, but the following month another one just pops up again. I have not received any fruitful assistance from ABSA as the customer care agent says the only advice they can give me is to reverse the debt orders everytime they go thru. Everytime I reverse a debit order, ABSA charges me. So from all the 7 nauthorised debit orders, ABSA will charge a reversal fee for each of them that I reverse. Lately I find myself paying close to R900 monthly in bank charges, when I called ABSA I was told that it's for all the unsuccessful debit orders as they charge R151.32 per unsuccessful debit order. All my authorised debit orders go through successfully and I never have an issue with them. The most frustrating partis that ABSA is not helping on this issue. They will just tell u to reverse them. Now everytime u reverse a debit order ABSA charges u, when u move ur money to another account to avoid unauthorised debit orders they still charge u again. So in essence, they make money off us either way. I am very displease with this dealings and do not know what to do anymore. Our very hard earned monies just beige "taken" like that. I'm almost sure that I'm other the only person with this kind of complaint. If absa is not willing to assist, what can one do. Is there another bank that is not vulnerable to these ****s that I am subisected to. A bank that I can trust with my money. Or is ABSA in on these ****s as they get to make money from them no matter how they pan out??
