Unanswered question by Absa regarding ****** savings by them

I have complained about this years ago and Absa promised to look into the matter but I never received any feedback. I will keep on querying this as banks are *****ing money from clients and get away with it. My Wife and myself each had savings accounts from 1988/89 with Absa. The idea was to leave the money in the bank and let it grow. We forgot about it and in 2003/4 my wife received a summons from Absa for R316 for bank costs. Because we had no other accounts with Absa I queried the summons and was told it was for admin fees as we never used the savings accounts. My account still had R16 in it. I then also saw in The Huisgenoot about a grandmother who opened a savings account for her grandchild depositing birthday money. A few months later the balance was zero. My complaint was and is still the same. Is it the way banks in this country operate by offering saving accounts and then ***** clients money this way. If somebody ask me to keep R1000 for them and I promised to do so, but then used it for myself I am liable to repay the money plus interest to that person, but in the case of a bank they don't have to. Why did and don't Absa ever answered my questions.
