Unaccepted currency

Dear Absa I went to one of your branches for currency exchange. It was all good until your agent said he cannot accept one of the notes because it has a bit of a blue pen writing in it. Then we had to udjust the amount. The following day after the whole process,I went to Greenstone branch to verify if I had to dispose the rejected note. The agent said it is acceptable. However, I couldn't go through the whole process again just for a small amount. Please balance me here...
