Unable to see my point on security risk

Yesterday i purchased coffee at McDonalds in Woodmead with my debit card. The purchase went off without me entering my pin. I debated this and the cashier Nkosinkulu told me not to worry. I came to ABSA fourways today and the lady at the counter said i must call ***. Ms Tanase from the *****line told me my security on my card is my pin. To which i agree. She stated she can only do something if the paypoint at the McDonalds is an ABSA speedpoint. She said that there is no security on my debit card if it is used on a speedpoint from another bank. HOW IS THAT possible?? My security should be with YOU ABSA.. . Her arguement contradicts the security of my debit card. Im very alarmed at her lack of insight to what i was pointing out. I asked her to take my details to report the issue and to give me feedback. She said she'll put me through to someone and the call was cut... ABSA please explain this to me..
