Unable to close cheque and Credit card account

<p>I am trying to close my Absa cheque account and credit card. I have been told I need to go into branch to do this. I live overseas and cannot do this, unless you have a branch in NYC. I dont want to be paying monthly fees for a service I do not want.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like assistance in closing this account, or changing it to a transact account, which has lower monthly fees.
