Unable to authenticate me on the home affairs database ??

I've recently app**** for an Absa credit card online. It was conditionally approved, subject to me submitting supporting documentation. When I phoned to get an update on the application, I was told the card can't be issued because Absa is "unable to authenticate me on the home affairs database". I questioned this, and was told its because I dont have a new ID card. I explained that the green ID books are still a valid form of identification in South Africa.

I've checked my details at home affairs and they are correct (which I have sent to Absa). Also on the application from for the credit card, they are correct. Please figure out the problem so that we can complete this task.
