UN-SATISFIED WITH SERVICE

During April 2015 I wanted to transfer a life policy of mine to another investor. To my amazement I was told that ABSA Bank had a cession against the policy and that they have to sign it before before I can re-invest the policy. This is where my nightmare started. I signed a cession to obtain a overdraft with ABSA Bank back in the 1990's. In 2007 I was placed under administration, all my accounts with ABSA before being placed under administration was paid every single month and nothing was in arrears, but due to being placed under administration meant all my debts had to be handled by the administrators. I paid the administrators regularly amounts much more than the initial court order stipulated. During April of 2011 I paid the last amount to the administrators. Since then I have been able to buy a new car and obtain credit on my name again. I have even opened an account with one of the creditors whom was also paid by the administrators that time. No one including ABSA Bank has ever contacted me again via phone, email or postal services ever again regarding outstanding debt after 2007 when I was placed under administration to inform me that I owe any money. To my better knowledge and records of payments I have paid the amount to the administrators in full which was indicated on my statement from them. Now 9 years later I am told by ABSA Bank that they can not sign off the cession against my policy as I owe them money on my cheque account. My cheque account and a personal loan were those years part of the administration, why do I now have an amount owed to them on my cheque account. After the administrators were in contact with ABSA Bank, the bank still almost cleared my account that December of 2006, after I contacted them and asked why they took money as I was under administration I was told the bank still has to try and recover whatever they can. Furthermore my bank account was closed with ABSA during 2007 already. The new policy I wanted to take out would have had much greater protection for me, one of them being that I would be covered should I ever loose my job. I could not afford a premium of a 2nd policy, but could afford re-investing my current policy and pay a little more a month for much better benefits. The cession on the policy has hindered me to do this for more than a year now with numerous phone calls, personal visits and emails. The company I worked for was liquidated in September of this year, I could have been covered in such an event had I been able to transfer my policy. Now I am a jobless widow with 3 minor children, and still ABSA Bank is refusing me help. Sending me a email that I have to phone their collectors Capital Data to request a letter that the debt has been paid up or written off. Capital Data said they can not adhere to this request as the bank is the only one that can instruct them to write off old debt. They said that the last time they had any correspondence from the administrators was during 2009 from their side, meaning they after 2009 never **** an effort again. According to them they send me an sms during 2013 and 2014, that is 6 and 7 years after the initial administration that I still owe ABSA money. The number they send the sms to was for a phone contract cancelled in 2011 already. Please help me to resolve the cession against my policy problem. I was not aware the past 9 years about any money owed to ABSA, I was under administration and I paid the administrators in full. Yesterday I was told to go to the administrators to find out why they last paid ABSA in 2009 by Capital Data. I told the lady that I already went there in 2015 when I was told there was outstanding money, which I contested. Their office has been closed, I will not know when as the last contact I ever had with the attorney's office was 2011 when I paid my last installment and took them a copy of the receipt. In more than a year I have been unable to get any info as to what has happened to the practice and where they have gone, the practice is definately not in Polokwane anymore.
