Greetings and I hope all is well with you. I took out a personal loan with Absa in 2014 if my memory serves me well( not sure if the dates however I assume is around 2014) I ha e been paying the well until I come across some difficulties and I end up applying for debt counseling. I later cancel the debt counseling in July 2019 and a recession letter was awarded by the magistrate court., and I sent the letter to Absa legal department. I have been paying the agreed amount until one year, I think it was between 2020 and 2023 where I was offered a R6000 personal loan again on the same account number, 3 to 4 months down the line I received a call from MBD Attorney saying I have been handed over. When I enquire as to how because I have been paying. I was told that the account is way overdue.
I made an arrangement with them to pay R1100 however this was not sitting well with me. I have been communicating with Tebogo Dijoe at MBD Attorneys. I have since asked for a statement for all the payments made everyone I had this account it it was promised that I must wait for 14-18 days before I can receive the statement. The 18 days lapsed on the 26 march and Tebogo was sensitised however he remain silent. I have a feeling that I have over paid Absa and they owe me a certain amount that has been paid more to them by me. The only time when I saw that there is a change in the outstanding balance is when I was handed over to MBD Attorneys. What has happened to the monies that I have previously being paying. Can I get answers and be helped to resolve this problem.
I thank you in advance for your assistance.
Blessed regards.
