Total Inconsistency and funniest operating procedure. Please read and rectify.
Good day,
I am sharing one of the funniest experience with ABSA VEHICLE FINANCE.
I bought a car from a terrible dealership called Myaa Auto. They are approved by ABSA (so called) vehicle finance. So they are supposed to check the integrity of the car on behalf of ABSA.
They sold me an accident damaged (writen-off by Outsurance) car and sold it to me without dislosing me the history.(Please read my review and my own reply on MYAA AUTO)
When I found with my own investigation I reported the incident to ABSA. After appointing a lot of investigators they mentioned that I must complain to OMBUDSMAN. They took zero action against the dealership. I have a funny suspicion some of their personnel have connection with dealership and I expected an organization like ABSA will conduct a thorough investigation. But probably they are too busy to look after small clients like me or us.
Now,the funiest part. Last night I app**** for a car finance through ABSA online and it was probitionary approved. This morning I received a call from ABSA VF. They said they cannot finance a private sell until it goes through a dealership (Which costs apprx. R 5k). I mentioned her that I will provide the Roadworthy Certificate, which Myaa Motor also did. She rep**** it is their policy that it must be through a dealership as the dealership must check everything of the car on behalf of ABSA VF...........loll
I really don;t get this inconsistency. So if the dealership don't do their job you don't take any action against them but you will force me to go through a dealership and pay R5k over the price of the car!!!!!
So if the dealership hide stuff from a ABSA VF client then they can't take any action against the dealership but if I buy privately then it has to go through a ABSA VF approved dealership !!!!
Luckily my Private Banker, an exceptional employee of ABSA helped me with an overdraft immediately and probably will buy the car this week.
My question to ABSA: Do you really think this is fair??? You did your investigation and came back to me mentioning that the dealership told you they have fixed the vehicle and you close the case.. So what else you expect from them??? I am taking the matter to court and I will bring all this point there.
I will appreciate to the person who is reading this to provide me with an email id of one of the Top Management so I can bring it in to their atention. The complaint email is same useless as the other investigators.
Trust for some recification on operations of ABSA VF.
Thanks
NB: What will happen now is someone who will read this will not go through the enire report, but just assign to someone in ABSA VF to investigate, he / she wil forward it to local branch and zero outcome
