Top notch negative balance notification system! (Sarcasm)

I have a student debit card with Absa that went into the negative without my knowledge. After a whopping ZERO amount of notifications I was contacted by Vericred (The most effective spammers in South Africa - no sarcasm here).

I only wish I could rate Absa by the amount of times they contacted me about my negative balance. Instead I'll rate them by the amount of times Vericred's department manager has been in in office this since meeting him to confirm my payment: 0/3.

Reviewer Update
Hi Basani Thanks for reminding me of the complaint number that I already have. I complaint could not be resolved through Absa as my account details had been sent to Vericred, a separate debt collection company. I was hoping that in making this review that you would become aware that people are being handed over to debt collectors without notifying clients of their negative accounts or giving them a chance to pay the account. This process has made me extremely frustrated as I had to pay and hassle with a third party for the better part of a week because they couldn't find my proof of payment that I sent to them three times. All of this could have been avoided with a simple SMS, email or phone call in the lines of: "Hi Mike, your account has a negative amount of R150. Please pay it or legal action may be taken."
