The worst claim experience ever

I called ABSA life Support Centre on the 15.08.2022 at 08:29am to submit a funeral claim for my late mother. After being subjected to a barrage of security questions the consultant told me she cannot help and I must go to the branch or submit my claim using "WhatsApp" .I attempted to submit my claim using WhatsApp and I was met with the error (we are experiencing a technical error and are unable to verify your request). I went to ABSA Chatterton Rd Branch in PMB at 13:00pm and submitted my claim accompanied by all supporting documents. I received NO acknowledgement of having summited a claim. I then called the Support Centre at 08:47 on 16/08/2022 to follow up and I was advised the "Assessor" was busy processing my claim and I requested written confirmation of this and an SMS was sent to me it is now 15:30pm on the 17/08/2022 and my claim is yet to be paid out, the 48 hour deadline for claims to be settled has been exceeded. further to this, this morning I was advised to wait 72 more hours. I have had this policy since 2013 paying premiums I am extremely disappointed that such a large organization has no sense of urgency this adds unnecessary stress on me as a client during a difficult time. I will be cancelling this policy and take my patronage where simple deadlines for simple claims are upheld.
